In a way this is a late report of a moult. I hadn't seen my Christmas present T, the tiny Neostenotarsus sp Suriname, Kalina, since it arrived at the beginning of November until 6 days ago a hole appeared in the substrate so I knew it was ok. Next day I spotted it at the opening, at least a few shiny legs suggesting a recent moult.

Finally today, 5 days later, the old exo has appeared, loads of digging has been done and quite a big burrow down below so I can see it now although I can't get a photo. (Paper is 3" square and the tweezers are normal cosmetic ones)

Peanut, my Stromatopelma calceatum has moulted overnight. I've not seen it yet as although it had moulted in the middle of its container, it has retreated into its hide.

My big girl (A. Geniculata) molted over night. I knew she was in premolt (although she never gets a bald spot or stops eating long before molt), but didn't think she'd go yet, so it was a nice surprise this morning:

The "finished" product. Didn't grow a lot, but looks very pretty

The closest I'll probably ever come to handling her lol

I knew this one, the smallest of my 3 B. albos, Tinto, was coming up to moult but when I checked on it early this afternoon there was no sign of it being imminent. This evening I found this (I guess that cricket must have been down the Ts burrow as I didn't see it)

@Kymura That made me panic so I just checked and all legs are there. The cricket is now inside a cat though lol. That water bowl was full of clean water this morning too.

@Kymura I hadn't noticed anything wrong when I realised it had moulted but looking at the photo I saw what you meant so I double checked.

I grabbed the long tongs to get the cricket and the cats were straight there. The Ts container is in the viv above my Royal Python and the cats associate them with rats because if the Royal doesn't eat they get the rat next day. Normally when I feed Ts or snake the cats get fastened out of the room otherwise they jump into the vivs.

Blue fang and P. rufilata molted sometime this past week. The rufilata is spending more time out and about which is great because she's become a real stunner. The blue fang however...has nice feet. If she hadn't pushed out her old exo I probably wouldn't even know she molted:confused:

My A. Hentzi is finally molting!!!! She's sitting right side up, and the new carapace and the beginnings of legs are showing. Right now she's a dark grey color with what I can see of the abdomen looking like a charcoal black. I'm going to check up on her in a few minutes. FINALLY. This has made my day. lol I'm wondering if the temps will have caused any color morphing? Well those dubia roaches will be gone in a few weeks. :D She decided to go into her new hide for this one, so I'll maybe have some freshly molted pics. I'm not going to disturb her by removing the Exo Terra hide. A couple of her right front legs aren't spread out like they are on the other side, I hope this doesn't make anything difficult.

I have to exercise for an hour, but when I return, at this rate it looks like she'll be out of the old skin completely. I've never seen my tarantulas molt before. It's like a cicada almost, especially when they molt right side up. I knew that abdomen looked charcoal black yesterday! My dubia roaches can kiss their asses goodbye in a couple weeks, cause big momma's appetite will be back in full swing. lol
