My G. Rosea moulted yesterday, she did it in the open too, just unfortunately due to work i was unable to witness it. As for the webbing part, it was fascinating, because for weeks she worked on closing off her entrances with web, day by day it would get higher and thicker. then i checked on her on January 1st evening, and there was a bit of webbing on the ground but nothing to fantastic, then when i went to sleep she must have really went at it, because by morning she had created a huge mat and was on her back.
I was only able to remove half the old body for she was sitting on the other half, finally this morning i was able to remove bottom half, i was going to try to sex her since i still don't know 100% if she's even female, but because of all the webbing it got too stuck to the substrate and ended up coming out in pieces. Oh well.. next time :)

I've had lot of moults in the last month too. I started keeping a monthly record back in April so I could see if there was a pattern so it will be interesting to see how this year compares with last.

that's what we're doing also. The GBB molted every month until this last molt, then she went almost 3 months. The molt was a little torn but we're 95% sure Marley is female. Hopefully next molt in a few months will allow us to confirm. Almost all of my other slings all molted in the same 2 week period also. Will be fun to see if this happens again next month.

I bought a swarovski notebook, the elements one with the swarovski crystals on it,
its my T registry and journal, keeping up with everything so I'll be able to see as well,
especially as I'm unable to really afford the bigger guys so start with slings :D

That's a good idea. my son is logging everything in his google docs for the school study project, feeding schedule, molts, sizes, etc. He and I put together a slide show with all our Ts in it also. They were going to cancel his study project because he didn't have enough data, but that was when he had just 1 T, now with 9 he should be able to get plenty :)

MY Aphonopelma Hentzi has refused food for over a month now. Her Abdomen is nearly as dark as the peat moss/vermiculite mix I use as substrate. She's sluggish and timid looking whenever she walks, I'm hoping she'll flip over any day now. It's making me think that something else might be wrong. She'll move about every couple of hours, not laying down much webbing, and goes to one corner of the cage in particular and starts "ballooning" abdomen raised in the air. My temps are room temperature and I just cleaned the cage.

What does DLS stand for? I'm certain that it pertains to leg span but I'm not entirely sure.

Popo, my son's B. smithi has moulted, first moult of 2016.

5-19pm I spotted it on its back, no mat just flopped over in the front corner in full view

9-18pm. Out of its old exo but still on its back with the exo on top.

11-30pm. Back the right way up and showing more colour.

My little A. laerta, Frio, has moulted today. This was the tiny blue T that moulted in transit and lost 2 legs. Sadly the beautiful blue has gone, it's beginning to show its adult colours, but all legsare fully grown back and it now has a dls of at least 1". Sorry about the lousy photo but I can't lift the lid far enough because of all the web
