I got the background delivered and put in the tank. I cut it to size and hot glued the edges to the backside of the tank inside.

I then used clear silicone waterproof sealant and a sealant smoother tool to further seal off the bottom and side edges of the background to the glass :

The sealant goes on white and dries clear.

I have everything I need to finish the project except the plexiglass pieces, which arrive by this upcoming Wednesday, if not sooner.

I can't go any further until those pieces come in so I can use the divider to install the LED rope lights with clear RTV silicone (which will also further seal the top background edge to the glass), and drill the 12 4" holes in the lids to glue the shower drains over, and place the fans... Then I'll be ready to put in my current T. Stirmi, and then purchase the aboreal species to re-home into the other side.

I was gifted some late Xmas money so I ordered some more enclosure equipment for this project.

The theme will be a graveyard, with aquarium plastic tombstone and skeleton figures and skulls.

I bought 3 medium Zoo Med cork rounds that are said to be good in size to prop in a corner for the aboreal T. I can also cut one to use as a hide for my current 5" DSL T. Stirmi.

I bought some hanging foliage to mount in the enclosure, and also some leaf litter.

Ok, I may have run into a problem, but it may be fixable...

The divider plexiglass piece ended up being slightly too tall and I tried to force it to fit and ended up cracking the back side of the tank pretty good...pretty damn good.

In an attempt to save the tank, I'm going to use and smooth silicone sealant along the cracks, let the silicone fully cure for a couple of days, and then brush black Flex-Seal liquid across the whole backside exterior of the tank.

Hopefully that holds and keeps things together with the substrate in it.
