I'm not sure how that will work with drilled plexiglass...

Here's something that will save you A LOT of time and effort instead of drilling acrylic covers:

https://www.amazon.com/TTRWIN-Upgra...Anti-Slip/dp/B0DK1JKNXS/?tag=exoticpetnetw-20

Just cut a proper sized hole in the acrylic, remove the silicon ring from the grill, and glue it down with superglue. It will be the best $5 you've ever spent. They also come in square shape. Just check to make sure that you get one that has holes small enough that neither your T nor its meals are able to escape.

Beats the crud out of spending half a day drilling several dozen holes in plastic.

What kind of tool would I need to make that hole that big ?

Is there a specific type of that saw that I should be using on acrylic ? Or just use a standard hole saw ?
No need to get fancy. They sell special carbide saws for acrylic but they're not needed unless you're going to be making 200+ cuts. A regular high speed steel or bimetallic saw is fine.

Like I said, though, go slow. You want it to cut, not melt. Some people spray a little soapy water on the plastic as a lubricant/coolant but I never found it necessary so long as you run at a nice slow speed and don't put too much pressure on it.

Also make sure that you have solid support behind the plastic when you cut it. Clamp it down on a piece of particle board or plywood to keep it flat. If the plastic flexes while you're cutting it'll bind up the saw and make a melty, smelly mess.

Got it. Ok I'm purchasing a 3/8 drill and the 4" hole saw today sometime, to have things ready when I order the plexiglass later on this week, maybe.

So far, I've painted the trim red and resealed the bottom of the tank:

I have this custom made to fit aquarium background sticker to use for the background :

I'm also going to use either LED strip RGB lights or LED RGB Neon Rope for show and feeding lighting...

LED Strips:

LED Rope:

I used the rope type last time because it's outdoor/waterproof, and the bulbs are covered by transparent rubber. The only issue is I would need stronger/waterproof adhesive to mount the lights under the inside of the upper trim lip. Watering ruined the adhesive that comes with them.

The LED strips I'm afraid the T's would climb on and burn themselves, being the bulbs are exposed/uncovered, and cause shock or failure if I get water on them watering the substrate.

As I said, though, check the size of the hole saw and make sure that it's gonna match whatever grill you end up getting. All of my tools are metric so I can't be certain whether a 4" is the proper size for the grills that I linked to.

For the ventilation, as @Eighth Eye Blind suggested, I'm going to order 12 4.75" drain covers, applying 6 to each lid, 2" from the edges and 1 1/2" from each other, like this:

On the Avicularia side of the tank, I will have this terrarium fan placed facing down into tank entering the drain cover holes.

Or maybe glue it in the corner of the inside of the tank, aiming at an angle towards the far opposite side corner of tank...

Per my earlier reply, I still think that's way too much fan for this setup. Keep it turned down to low until you see how your T reacts to the wind. Most don't like it.

The design does look interesting, though. I hope it works out!

Now that I have everything bought for the tank project, what all do I need for the aboreal to build it's habitat ?

Also, since we're in the winter season a lot of sites aren't shipping live animals, when does shipping open back up for live animals in better weather ?
