Good, make sure to use normal crickets with no calcium. Feeders are crickets, roaches, etc.

Whatever you choose to feed the T is a feeder.

yea okay thanks for that, its just normall silent crickets i use to feed my tarantulas, which i would know how they have any contact with calcium. im going to sort thst cricket out and get it in the tub now, should i use a small or medium size cricket as maybe i could use a small one just to test if its hungry and medium crickets are slightly bigger than its abdomen?

Let us know how it goes!
last message, very small cricket has been killed i cracked its head and placed it infront of the tarantulas fangs. didnt go for it immediately but i wasnt expecting it too, tarantulas legs still got movement so hes again still kicking about and i will wait until morning and will give you an update, again thanks very much for the advice and help.

One more thought... is there any way the T could have fell from the top lid onto the substrate?

sorry i fell asleep and was out for quite long. Yes there is a very small chance but i have never seen absolutely any of my T's climbing on the lid of there enclosures. not a single one. so yes its a possibility and could possibly be a reason but the drop to the substrate is not that far, like only about 2 - 3 inch drop but ofc that could still hurt the T. so overnight the tarantula hasnt moved anywhere else, hasnt touched the cricket i placed about 1cm or less from its fangs and legs still moving when torch shined at it. before anything else happens could you let me know if i should stop shining a torch at it? the only reason i do it is because the lighting in my room is bad and it helps me see if the T is still moving or not. But i just dont know if it could be stressing the T out more or hurts it atall.

I’d just leave the T alone at this point and continue to monitor her without stressing her out.

okay, no light flashing, no feeding, no spraying water, anything else i shouldnt do that i would do often? also how long until i remove the small cricket thats in there as its dead it will become not fresh quicker, also as the T hasnt moved im not able to remove the dead old one under her.

Take it out now, it would have shown interest in feeding by now.
