The T. gigas and and one of my B. smithi's molted yesterday. T. gigas is now 2 inches, so I'm gonna have to find a 32 oz. deli to rehouse him too.
Also realized today that my B. albiceps has sealed up his burrow.

Thought I would make a thread for the experience of going through the first molt with our beloved T's. This will be the first time I get to experience my T's do this and 2 of them are very close. Not going to lie I am a little nervous but for sure much more excited. My G.rosea is laying down a cradle of webbing and flicking some hairs in it so I am assuming it won't be long now. :T:

I'm new to the spider world (reptile keeper) I just got a rose hair 3 weeks ago and I'm trying to figure out if mine is molting or dying! His legs are not splayed like I see in photos and videos. he looks more like he is in a death curl. he is on his back but only because my roommate said it looked like he was trying to get on his back (he found him on his side?)

What size is it, some pictures would be immensely helpful?

Sounds like it's trying to molt, but without pics nobody can tell you really, they'd just be guessing like i am.

Not only did my Euathlus sp Red, Chila, moult yesterday (it got a thread of its own as I was so excited) but my little Grammostola rosea, Ember did the honours too

G. Actaeon molted yesterday. Can't quite figure out whether male or female, because my macro lens was playing up. I'm leaning towards female though...

Another moult today, this time it was my not so little Stromatopelma calceatum, Peanut.

All I've seen of it so far are legs, hairy legs.

Vivian my N. Chromatus and very first T FINALLY molted last night. And I sat and watched the whole thing....5 hours before she finally was on her feet again haha. Had nothing better to do plus it was cool to watch. She hasn't come out of her closed off home just yet but when she does and I can get a good picture of her pretty fresh look I will!

Call me crazy but I think my B. albo sling is in premolt right now... (s)he just molted I believe May 28th, so its been less than a month but (s)he has refused food twice now and I got a look at her bald spot and it looked almost jet black...is it normal for her to molt soo quick? (S)he's about 1-1 1/4"
