Oh boy here we go...

Just went to feed my B. albo sling and noticed something strange about its color, so I shined my light on it and lo and behold, its abdomen is verryyy dark black, so here goes my first ever T molt [emoji27]

If it's like my albo slings you got about 2-3 weeks to wait now ;) Congrats on the first premolt!

Would my avic possibly be molting if she hasn't come out of her log in 3 days and hasn't eaten? Bearing in mind I only got her 4 days ago with her home. Can't see anything and it's driving me nuts lol.

could be, or could be she's still settling in and doesn't want to be disturbed. sometimes it takes a few weeks for them to get comfy in their new homes.

ok thanks, it's doing my head in because I know she's beautiful colouring and don't actually know if she's alright. For all I know she could be dead in her log.

Be glad it's not a G. Pulchra. Mine has been in premolt for about 2 months now. Hopefully soon it looks likes his abdomen is going to burst.

And on a good note my vagans molted today. By the time I saw it he was almost fully out and in the time it took to get my cell and return he'd flipped back over. Can just see him in the bottom of his burrow.

My B. albo molted!!!! After what seems like forever, I was watching my Avic eat, and something strange caught my eye. I had seen my B. albo (Tella) laying in its favorite spot, but I also saw a leg sticking up from behind the water bowl. "What the..." says I, "gotcha!" says Tella. I moved Tella's enclosure, and (s)he casually strolled over sporting a beatiful summer outfit! Soooo excited!!! My first EVER T molt!!!![emoji16]

She got big too...went from 3/4" to I'd say 1 1/4"

GRATS hun. Great feeling when they make it through :)
A anax, G rosea and B vagan ( so pretty!) molted successfully.
Sadly one of my baby P irminia (Presto) didn't and I lost it.
(I really love the psalmos, broke my heart. Cried like an idiot)

Ty!

I'm sorry for your loss. I'd be upset if either of mine died. Especially if it was a Psalmo...I want one of those sooo bad...and I've been eyeing T. gigas as well...
