@Ghost. I think I've wrongly sexed my ggb but unsure. Here's a pic. I can see what looks like a small red dot.?View attachment 9871
Before moult it was roughly 2.75 inch now it's roughly 3.25 inch.

Hi Sym,
It's not the clearest of pics but I think you were right the first time,for what I can see I think it's a female but not 100% sure so don't go popping the champagne just yet lol..
As for the dot I'm sure you already know males have them as well it's just there clear and not red like in females,if you could get a clearer pic that would help....

@Ghost . I've had a better look in better light and yes I still think it's a female . Can always wait till next moult :) no rush lol. Not sure what's to mount next for me . Close between my B.Vagans and B.Auratum.

Yeah your right no rush but its still nice to know for sure,I'm in the same boat as for my next moult it's between my H.maculata female or my G.pulchripes both are in pre-moult but I think the H.mac will probably go first the G.pulchripes seems to be refusing to grow....

@Ghost . Really your G.Pulchripes is refusing to grow ? Mines growing well just moulted last week. They seem to skip a moult growing every other moult.
I'm hoping I will get a moult from my H.Pulchripes sometime soon. Also my biggest H.Incei has matured into a male I'm just hoping my smallest 1 is a female and matures before the male dies.

Yeah it seems that way at the moment as I don't have too many slow growers in my collection right now and the ones I do have are adults /sub adults apart from my G.pulchripes / A.seemanni slings so my other slings are out growing them no problem,what you've got to remember is that I only got back into the hobby last year after a two year break and at the moment my collection is not as big as I'm used to as I used to have 520+ tarantulas in my collection and everything moved much faster than it is just now so I never really noticed the slow growers that much...

Looks like my little B.Auratum is getting prepared to moult . Looks like it's making a moult mat and flicking hairs on it.

@PamCz . My G.Pulchra looks like it's laying a mat too.lets see ;)
Right on...good luck! How big is your G. pulchra?

Speaking of molts....my teeeeeny-weeeeeny Aphonopelma hentzi is just now finishing up a molt. It was 1/4"...& will probably still look 1/4" after from what I hear of their molasses-like growth. lol:rolleyes:
