It looks like there is a flap. Congratulations! My A. versi drinks from her bowl when she's in premoult, too. I've only ever caught her twice though. My A. Geniculata behaves like your Avic, lol. Her tank's humidity is fine, yet she loves that water bowl. She boxes the water when I refill it, too, but the oddest thing I've seen her do is using the water to clean herself (dipped her pedipalps in before rubbing them over her fangs).
