She looks so much better all over now. How long have you had her for ?
sense November 2012. She eats 3 or so crix a week. When she wants to eat. You know how rosies get about eating. She looks so much better all over now. How long have you had her for ?
Thanks a lot, but the credit needs to go to mother nature this time. all we did was visit with her and give her crix that had been gut loaded and a safe place to live where no-one will ever pull her molt off again. I didn't even take her molt till she left it alone. You did well to get her looking so good in a few months.
I think you can have credit as well, rosies are my favourites and she must be happy with you or she wouldn't be handled. Thanks a lot, but the credit needs to go to mother nature this time. all we did was visit with her and give her crix that had been gut loaded and a safe place to live where no-one will ever pull her molt off again. What a lovely story, its great that you love the ts,there are so many arachnophobes in the world tarantulas need passionate fans. Thanks guys. my wife got me into all this because she came to me one day with a picture of a B. Smithi and said I want one. I said " wow really"( knowing I'd be the one to take care of it, feeding and what not) so to make my lovely wife happy I started doing research on T's to see what it took to be a "keeper" and the more I learned the more I liked the thought of having one around to "watch" I never intended to hold or touch one ( as spiders scared me).... and then I took my wife out one Saturday as a surprise present to get a T to start her on her way, and we looked at our first T, a rose hair. when we asked to see it the clerk too the KK out and opened it and handed it to me quickly as the T was climbing out, and it was on my shirt with in a second and climbing up. I was panic stricken at that moment. my wife took it just in time. fast forward = now I really like these little wonders. ( I even like to hold them) now we have 12 T's from 1/2"slings to a 5" wc pink toe female. ( funny thing is I'm the one that can't seem to stop buying them) Thanks again HQ, Bast. I love this forum.... you guys are the BEST....
That's awesome that you and your wife have a hobby you can share! Really glad that you were able to turn your fear around into a curiousity andthen beyond that into a fascination on to being a responsible/caring keeperThanks guys. my wife got me into all this because she came to me one day with a picture of a B. Well I'm not planning on going anywhere but if my beloved horse does decide he wants my life insurance, some of the people I really like on here will get custody of my babies.LOL, why do I have the feeling there are international critter smuggling police watching our boards because of the three of us?
Did you get a b smithi in the end ?Is your wife going to join us too?
No, I don't think so. shes not into this kinda thing.
