The black pic might have been captured with low lighting, I have never seen any “black” stirmi before.

When they get older, they do get a bit darker and gain wear and tear on the carapace and legs which could give a darker appearance. The abdomen may also darken like the picture. Other than that, “black” stirmi aren’t a thing.

Lighting also has a LOT to do with it.

Looks dope! No way you’d consider drilling bigger holes or will you leave it the way it is now?

You could add the springtails now if you wanted to.

I'm honestly worried about drilling bigger holes, I didn't like the way the bigger drill bit sounded and the way it chipped the acrylic on that first hole.

I don't want to take chances of it cracking and breaking and then I'm really f'd.

Your right, maybe just leave the lid off for a bit. Definitely think you could remove more sphagnum moss to see if the condensation clears because it really adds a lot of humidity.
