Normal behavior. Try feeding again in a few days.
Good morning.

A few days ago I ordered 500 banded crickets from Josh's frogs.

I like these over the first batch that I bought from the other company, the other company, there were different size crickets and they kept dying quickly.

These banded crickets from Josh's frogs are pretty girthy and they won't stop chirping lol

Yea, banded ones are the best in my opinion. You could even add dermestid beetle larvae as a cleanup crew for them.

I’m glad this thread popped up for me. Just got my Stirmi, yesterday and was concerned about the ab size, and it looks similar to how yours was when you received her. Mine ate 6 crickets right away. How long did it take for yours‘ ab to plump up?

It will take your T at least a week or more to plump up to where the abdomen reaches or exceeds the size of the carapace.

Getting ready to start buying enclosure supplies for a T. Blondi I plan on buying in September.

Watching a YT video, I made a list of the supplies he used to house his T. Blondi...

Here's the list :

Charcoal

Vermiculite

Soil

Reverse Osmosis Water

Spackman Peat Moss

Coconut Fiber

Cork Bark

Springtails

Dwarf White Isopods

3/16" Thick Plexiglass

While researching these things, I came across this Reddit thread stating "Not to buy Charcoal" and gave his reasons why..

Just wanted to share and get other community opinions on whether or not I should be getting charcoal for this enclosure...

If anybody sees anything else on this list that's not needed, you can let me know that too.

I just recently got a 14 gallon tank myself, it's a cube tank without a frame. Which means it's all glass no plastic. Very nice to have a larger tank to work with, just in my opinion. Good luck!
