My Avic is molting as we speak. When I left for work she was "making her bed" and when I just walked through the door, the first thing I wanted to do was check on her and sure enough she is molting. Should I be worried if she is on her belly though? She is still moving around and trying to get out of it, like I have experienced before, but I've never had one do it in this position. Have any of you had your T molt on their belly?

H. sp Colombia klein, Vita, has just thrown an old exo out of its burrow. There's not much left of it and I suspect it may have moulted a couple of weeks ago.

Pictures would help.
That is not the flash, that is the white stuff on her butt.

So my TINY little Pink Toe babe must have molted between last night and this morning!!! First time molting for me and the only one so far to have done so! The only issue i have is the molt is smack in the middle of it's very dense webbing and I don't want to mess up what it's done. What should I do??? Seems like it's almost guarding the molt and in trying to get it out I don't want to hurt the T either....

@KhaleesiMae Try using a small pair of tweezers to get hold of it and it will probably slide out without too much damage to its web, If you do damage it, don't worry it will soon renew it.

A recently molted tarantula should not be handled or touched in any way. They're very vulnerable and delicate at that point.

I don't really know, tbh. I don't think it's very common if the right husbandry is provided and the spider itself is healthy. Apparently in most cases it's only a small part of the body (legs and co) that get stuck and not the whole body.
My LP dragged its molt behind him once, because a tiny part was stuck to his back, but that was easily resolved with a wet cotton bud.

I am beyond happy to run across this thread- I have this very thing happening now- woke up to my Avic dragging the entire old exo behind it. It appears there is a tiny bit stuck on the side of it's abdomen so I will use the wet cotton bud tonight and pray it works! So nervous though :|

Unless it's covering the book lungs it shouldn't be a huge issue.

2 moults today. One my H. maculata, Kofi, who I've not seen since it came although it has built a burrow between plant and bark and has now made another opening to it. At least I know it's doing ok. The other was one of my N. chromatus, Zingu.

Two molts last night; LP is up to almost 2 inches and a blue fang that won't come out(understandable), and now needs a rehouse which should be tons of fun! I'm guessing around 2.75 inches DLS but he won't be bothered for a couple days. Can't wait to feed these guys!
