I keep thinking about this, and how so many folks are worried about over feeding sling/juvies.
My new B emilia ate three mealworms the day I unpacked her. She then crawled into her water dish and molted. Look, ..if it's hungry feed it...Some T's can have molt problems etc if they are too fat as adults so don't grossly over feed. AS ADULTS!
Other wise
FEED THEM! Takes a lot of energy to molt and Then start building yet another new exo for the next time.. yes your adult T can be to fat.
Slings honestly have one purpose. Eat and grow.
I offer my slings food every other day,
juveniles about every 3-4 days.
Adults get their fill weekly.
disclaimer: all my babies are plump little ticks, I like them plump and they can't grow without stores to draw on. My adults are not fat, their abdomens are slightly larger then their carapice. I'm careful in my husbandry, the last thing I would ever do is hurt one of my arachnids. But I will be damned if any of mine ever look half starved.
We stick them in a glass box and tell them hey, this is your life now, the least we owe them is adequate food.
