She rly scared me

Hey there Forum. Got scared today by my t.gigas. She was sitting on the substrate for some time and then this happened. It was my first time seeing something big molt. And she wasn't on her back. Panicked. Don't have dead Ts on my hands. Is it even normal to molt while standing?

It's not normal for them to moult upright but it does happen occasionally so don't worry they know what they're doing.

Tbh I thought the same. I mean the "she knows what she is doing". I just thought she knew she was dying. But all ended well

While not normal it does happen. My B. albopilosum (Honduran) did that as a sling a few times before finally molting properly.

Some spiders do that. No need to panic. Lots of my Avicularia did it standing up often...
