Just found it this morning, was active as usual yesterday. No death curl or anything, just looked to be hanging out on a fake leaf like normal except didn't move when I touched the enclosure to feed. I'm guessing sudden sling death?

Yeah, I have another sling from a different sac. Hopeful that it will grow up fine and have a full life. I'm preserving this one

It happened to me the same. My first Metallica died a couple of week after her molt, about the size of yours. I was very sad as it was our first metallica and a gift. I imagine a sucking stomach issue. She was a bit lethargic though a few days before. I got another sling right away and she has been growing beautifully well. Sometimes there are things we can’t explain but give it another try it is definitely worth it.
