Is your G pulchripes a mature male? Those wander like you describe... looking for love.

Look for spurs on the underside of his front two legs, directly outside of his pedipalps. I can't tell from your pics.

And yes, add a lot more substrate. Free climbing height should be limited to 1.5-2x the DLS (diagonal leg span) of the spider to prevent high falls, injury or death.

Hello Alejandra,
Out of the blue, does your seemani looks like it has boxing gloves at the ends of her pedipalps?
Until you get an acrylic lid, you can use clear 2 inches wide packing tape on the inside of your lid to cover the mesh that goes around the borders of the enclosure. As the T climbs the glass, when trying to get a grip on the mesh she won’t be able to go further as it won’t be able to get a hold onto the tape.

I would add way more substrate as these guys are fossorial, up to 2/3 the way up, or just move it to a smaller enclosure.

Looks like an A seemani to me
A species I have not kept, but I recognize the similarities to G pulchripes, and apologize for my incorrect assumption

There are a few possibilities for the climbing/ restless behavior

1) Your tarantula is a mature male and is wandering, looking for a female.
2) The tarantula doesn't like the substrate. This can happen when you change substrates to something that might be too fluffy, too dry, etc.
3) The conditions in the enclosure are not optimal. A. seemani need moist substrate in which to burrow. There also needs to be good ventilation.
4) The tarantula has recently been rehoused and is adjusting to its new enclosure.

This is what I can think of at the moment. I hope this was helpful!
