Yes, it's legal and yes, it is "the" most venomous spider in the world. I believe second in line is the Sydney funnel web spider.....don't quote me, though. Just research.

They are just a pain in the ass to find in the United States for a decent price.

You're correct Sydney Funnel Web more venomous.
