/Green Bottle Blue sling View attachment 3793 Hello, Arrived home to a surprise my gbb sling molted. Didn't even see it coming, what a fun surprise.
It's really really neat to watch this particular breed of T grow. Mine went through all types of color changes. I've had her for around a year now. She was 3/4" when I got her, and she's now around 3.5" DLS and beginning to show adult color signs. So fun :) I've kept all her molts till now to show my reading group kids the metamorphosis she went through :)

Hello
There is nothing more rewarding than sharing,it is a great feeling when someone actually realises what they knew was incorrect a misconception. I was just drawing money last week,we were in a queue and me and another guy got talking wow how misinformed the public are.

Poecilotheria Regalis communal setup

OMG!!!!! BRILLIANT! Really, Martin, congrats my friend! So many together in one place successfully? Brilliant. And, just an update, I recently read an article on GBB's and why their guardians mistake them for mostly arboreal. It claimed that in the wild, these critters like to live close to the ground but at the top of low lying shrubbery. It is there that they like to develop a canopy of web which helps keep out light and at the same time catch the prey they need. So, mulling this over, I decided to turn her enclosure on it's side and offer her a different view of life, so to speak. She immediately crawled to the top of a leaf as close to the lid as she could, but, the next morning when I came down and checked, she had found her way all around her home and left a clothesline of web from one end to the other and had perched herself snuggly between a piece of cork bark and the side of her tank, ON THE SUBSTRATE!!!!!! Talk about a blushing moment! I did offer her a hide, but she wanted to be between a rock and a hard place and it is there that she has made her bed. There is also now an 60W ceramic heater that only gets shut off at night so as to give both her and Pickles (it heats one side of his tank, as well) the heat they seem to appreciate. Pickles molted successfully and though he's still recuperating in his hide and has yet to emerge, I can peek in and see that he has gotten HUMUNGOUS!!!! I mean HUGE! Like by two sizes in one molt! I plan on feeding him a Dubia on Sunday to see how he does. Knowing him he'll gobble it up like he's been starving since hatching from the sac. Anyway, not to bore you any longer, just wanted to share and say conrats on your critters. Nice job :) Are they all females or a mix or ?

Pickle's house is on the left, Jewlz' is on the right, now turned on it's side. And Dio's and Lita's is thrown in, too. I will be rehousing Pickle's to a 50 gal when he's grown, and Jewlz, when she's grown, will probably go into the one Pickle's currently lives in. Dio and Lita will stay where they are, as a 30 gal is perfect for only two Emps. And, I still have and empty 30 gal I've no idea who to give to. I"m thinking of starting a community of Monocentropus Balfouri but, there is such a thing as heat and food and supplies for myself and my current critters to pay for, SO, that's a few years off. But, it's a happy goal :)
I never thought they were so docile, with a last name like "Baboon" (thinking OBT) GADS I don't know if I'll ever challenge myself with one of those

Lita and Dio's digs. They're about 2.5 inches now and are never too far from each other. It's cute to watch. They are from the same brood, thank you JR's Inverts (awesome dude). The tank on the bottom is my Dubia roach colony. Just one big happy family :)

Yes the regalis communal setup, had 6 originally one matured male died off naturally. Now again one mature male, seems very fertile mated all females so far and still kicking haha. Hopefully something I'd like to see happen,a female being gravid dropping an egg sack withing the setup. As for GBB's,mine will make a huge webbing deciding to stay above the ground level of even bet if I add more decor she will go higher.
