So it arrived today :)
Meet Julio.
Are small mealworms good for feeding him? i can't find any fruit flies here.
Also his tank is good for his size right? I could make a smaller one if really needed.
thanks for all your help people from this forum!
Also his substrate is a little moist. Should i put it to the sun to dry or leave it to dry alone?
here are some pics :

Last time I checked it was the USA
Congrats on the tarantula! He's nice looking.

The enclosure size should be a good size. You can add a piece of round bark for it to hide under, ours loves that.

You can let it naturally dry. Just make sure that there is plenty of good ventilation so that humidity doesn't stay inside the enclosure. The humidity will help make sure it doesn't dehydrate.

Well they definitely need something to hide under. As for feeding you can use small crickets either live or prekilled. If you use mealworms make sure you crush their heads so they can't burrow and munch on your sling when it's molting.

hmm. maybe i am wrong, but i just said that because i think that dish look big for the T.
Tarantulas, even tiny slings, will not drown in a water dish.

Here's an image of an Avicularia species floating on the surface of the Amazon.

Personally i'd feed it a bit more. Slings can and will eat a lot. I don't have a set schedule so I can't really tell you exactly when to feed yours. I go by the size of the abdomen. If you're using mealworms crush the head so it can't burrow.
