molt?

I have my Curlyhair a month now. It didn't molt before I got it, and it still hasn't molted. It eats well... I mist the soil every time I see it's dry. No sign of molt yet. This normal?

mine hasn't molted since he matured. how hold is your CH? I have read that some T's go months and years in between molts depends on the genus, food, temp and more...

How big is your curly? And misting the substrate is not ideal for dry species, just so you know, even slings. Just provide a water dish, dry substrate and a hide and it will be fine I mist my slings substrate sometimes when they've just molted, but only a tiny area to help them re-hydrate. Molting takes a lot out of them and they're usually wanting moisture when they're done.

Yeah you don't need to mist for a Brachy.

Yup, no misting. And it does not like the water dish too. My Albus always fill the water dish with substrate. Then Tartar is taking the cue since this morning it filled its water dish with substrate as well. Tartar may have observed its next door neighbor's antics.

Must be a Brachy thing, my Boehmei does fills up his water dish, too. Both my Grammys (Rosea and Actaeon) prefer it bone dry, too, but they've never bothered with their water other than for drinking.
