Nope, springtails I think, definitely not mites. Mites are arachnids and look like tiny fat spiders with short legs. Most mites you find will be non-parasitic, even if on the spider, they just eat organic matter in the substrate and help clean up left over food. Sometimes you get a boom but they'll die off once the amount of food for them reduces.
