hi!
im getting my first T's,

just decided im buying 3 T's at once as my first (not same enclosure of course)

my first 2 i have decided to be chromatopelma cyaneopubescens 4,5cm and grammostola pulchripes 5,5cm.

however, i also want this 8,5cm lasiodora parahybana.

so is it safe?

Safe for what?

Lasiodora parahybana's are in general relaxed & easy to keep. Plus, they grow to an impressive size. So make a good T for anyone to keep.

Remember that LPs have a pretty fast growth rate and they have the potential to reach 10 inches dls.

And make sure you have the space for all of them because they will eventually get bigger.

LPs are know to have very irritating urticating hairs when they kick them but as long as you're careful you'll be ok. I've had my girl 12 years and never seen her kick hair.
when they're young they can grow half as big again with each moult, my Pip is now a good 8" dls.
Another thing to warn you of is that they are escapologists. Both Pip and the male I had chewed through the mesh air vents of their tubs and escaped, luckkily their tubs were inside a vivarium so neither got far. Even now if any substrate gets caught in the runners of her tank, Pip will spot the gapwhere the door hasn't shut completely and prise it open even with wedges in place. They are amazingly strong.
Don't be put off getting one though, just be careful.
