We have been incorporating the Dwarf White Isopods (Trichorhina tomentosa) in all of our tarantula enclosures for years now. We have noticed a much cleaner environment for our animals. The isopods feed off of the waste in the enclosure from bolus to molts as well as dead feeder insects. We think that this natural environment is something everyone and their spiders should have. We are therefore offering them at the lowest price around so everyone can enjoy the benefits of these little guys. Another use for these little guys is as feeders for slings. We put a few in the substrate of our vials for slings that are too small for average food items and they can be eaten at the slings’ digression.

We also have two color forms of a large species of isopod (Porcellio scaber). These guys are also great cleaners. They are absolutely harmless, and can also be eaten. They can also be kept as pets in all types of enclosures.
