my thoughts exactly!!! some good responses on the Sun's feedback saying the same thing really......plus a lot of other uneducated comments too unfortunately.Trust the RSPCA and the Sun to exaggerate. We all know LPs are not that dangerous.
come on now, stop sitting on the fence and tell us what you really feel about this....ROFLThis Prick made me laugh

Christ if they bite someone they will need urgent attention I've seen the residents of Somercotes and those spiders are at real risk of catching something.
I almost signed up to this Gutter Press paper to have my say this morning then thought what`s the point, I`d be wasting my time .
Typical press as usual trying to make a huge deal out of something that it`s not, just to sell a story and a newspaper . The only venomous thing about this article is the Brain Dead Vermin journalist who compiled this piece of Crap in the first place.
Perhaps I should start my own Magazine column. Not a fan of the press , not that anyone could tell.come on now, stop sitting on the fence and tell us what you really feel about this....ROFL

They won`t deal with Venomous snakes/Crocs / Gators though, they will take the call then pass it onto specialists who can deal with them. The RSPCA have 3 days training on Exotic Pets which includes snakes, reptiles, frogs and all the furries like Guinea Pigs so I guess that won't include much on Tarantulas.

jeez....I wouldn't class a guinea pig as "exotic"....no wonder they won't touch a tarantula ha haThe RSPCA have 3 days training on Exotic Pets which includes snakes, reptiles, frogs and all the furries like Guinea Pigs so I guess that won't include much on Tarantulas.

neither are most cats and dogs....if not native we won't have any German shepherds, huskys, Utonagen, Newfoundlands etc etc. if you apply a rule apply it consistently! What most people don't realise is that if the RSPCA get their way in banning exotic pets it will include all those little furries that people buy their kids as pets as they are not UK native species.
seriously? that is shocking. The world has gone mad, its official.@Phil Very true. They are also in league now with the APA, supposed animal lovers who are in fact terrorists. They threatened to bomb Doncaster Dome several years ago during the Reptile Show regardless of the fact it would be full of families also there for swimming, skating etc. That was the reason the show moved to the Racecourse as they were licensed to sell livestock.
The RSPCA is one of the most unhelpful organizations going, my advice to anyone in the UK is don`t bother with them.
Their main priority is no longer Animal welfare all they are interested in is how much money they can get out of you and their second priority is to get even more money from you.
90% of the time they have no idea what they are doing, personally I wouldn`t trust them to look after Roaches.
RSPCA total useless Organization .
I rang them back earlier in the year as there had been some Venomous snakes handed in to them and I thought I could offer them a home. I gave up in the end , every time I tried to get onto the subject of re homing these snakes, the RSPCA staff at the other end changed the subject to " If you would like to set up a account with us for donations " then they say " We will pass your details on to an Inspector and someone will be in touch" 7 months later still no reply from them regarding the snakes apart from emails and texts asking how much I would like to donate. I have know blocked all correspondence from them.
