How long would I bake bark for?

Recently I found a little Grass Spider in the house, and made it an encloser to keep it safe until it warms up. I went outside last night to get bark to make a hide for it. Well I got to thinking it would be great to make hides for all of my Ts. However, I am not putting non-sterile bark in with them. The Grass spider came from outdoors, so it can have just bark.

How long, and what temp do you bake tree bark for?

I personally give it a good scrub with a clean brush then stick it in the microwave for a couple of mins then I bake it in a fan oven at 250 for 10-20 mins..

No I've never had any problems and I use tree bark in all my T enclosures,I'm lucky that I live in the country and I know the woods near where I am are free from pesticides.
