hiding rose hair

I am a class room teacher who added a rose hair tarantula in January. It has spent all but the first 2 weeks inside of its hiding place. It has used the substrate and mixed it with web to close off the entrance except for a hole to crawl through. Is this normal?

Yes, very normal especially for G. roseas. Just let it do its thing, it might be in premolt or just stressed. It'll come out eventually

Yes it's normal. Mine loves staying in it's hide.
