Hanging from the ceiling

We just discovered Ronia, our Chilean Rose-hair, hanging by one leg from the wire top of her 10 gallon aquarium. She seems to be okay, not struggling or anything, but why would she do that? She is nearing molting time, but would she really molt hanging from her claws? If she falls will she hurt herself? There is some dirt on the ground, but we're afraid it will hurt her, especially if she falls while trying to molt while hanging from one leg.

Is she trying to escape mites? I don't think she has any, but there are some crickets in her cage.

That's why screen-top lids aren't really the best for tarantulas.

I mostly use plastic food/storage containers for mine or kritter keepers. There are also great acrylic enclosures like this one which can be found at Jamie's Tarantulas
