On the damp side of the plastic cup container... I know, I know.. Dry it out. Getting right to that. Does it look close or in premolt?

not real shiny and I am not familiar with the other spider, but it does have a sheen. The pic is weird how it didn't show and made it look velvety.

Does it get shiny like the Brachys?
Yes. Any new world species that has the ability to kick its urticating hairs can develop a bald spot, which will turn darker and have a shiny appearance to it as they near a molt.

My G. porteri got real shiny before it molted. Could be the same with the G. rosea. :T:
