No, tarantulas do NOT need sponges!!

Avics and former Avics benefit from having an elevated waterdish because they might not go to the ground to drink & could get dehydrated.


Anyway, enjoy the video!!

These guys tend to be photosensitive.

Yes, the camera uses a light, but if I only use the room lighting, the colors don't show up at all & it isn't worth it.

I could probably try a flashlight that's further away so it gets some extra light but not as much.

In fact, I can probably put it on the top of my T stirmi's enclosure and turn it down to the dimmest setting. There's a 50/50 chance that a hissy fit or other protestations may occur.
