took 3 days for mating to complete. the male has a modified flagellum that serves as a secondary sexual organ, and he shakes it around in her face. Maybe i should try that

UPDATE: The brood is now starting to develop into 1st instar 'nymphs' and will be emerging soon. the mother will be removed to prevent her from competing with the nymphs for food.
