Hi.
My B. vagans turned adult around 5 months ago.
He does not eat and his abdomen gets smaller over a long period of time.
First I thought, that he had parasites but he doesn't lose weight very fast and there are no symptoms.
I don't know how many sperm webs he has build but i would say at east 2 or 3.

Shoud I worry or is it because he is an adut male?
Do you think he is going to die?
But isn't it a bit to early at 5 months?

no way to tell how long they'll last after their ultimate molt. Could be 3 months, could be 6 could be 18. Sounds like he's on his way out though. You have a few options, breed him - either yourself, or trade him to be bred, after all it's his life mission after his ultimate molt - let him live out his last days in comfort in your care - problem is you have to watch him die :( - or euthanize him. Freezer is a humane way if you go that route.

I've tried to trade him but noone wants him :(
And I'm too unexperienced to breed myself.
But i would like to keep him till he dies. After all he was my first T.

Well we won't be able to do anything ,it is the circle of life.
But thanks for your answer. You've been a great hep.

Welcome. Are you going to replace him with another?

Hey.
I'm here with a little update.
He keeps getting thinner. He ate a week ago but only one little cricket. I tried to feed him 2 days ago and he didn't want to eat.
I guess that he won't live that long anymore. He hasn't used his hide for 2 weeks, sounds like he is searching for a mate.

Yep, i'd see if you can trade him off to breed, or breed him yourself. If you can't do either, then enjoy the time left with him.
