I've seen that thread. I'm planning on posting some pictures when I get a good molt. Peter doesn't ever get on the walls of his enclosure so I doubt I'll get a picture of him that'll show anything. Maybe if I have to do a transfer or substrate change I'll try using a glass catch cup and see if I can get a good picture that way. I'm glad there are experienced people on here cause I wouldn't trust myself to be accurate. If you can get a really clear photo of either the moult or a belly shot of the T around the area of the book lungs and post them on the forum we have some members that are excellent at sexing them.

"Sex the hell out of it" lololol!Anything under 3", I usually can't molt sex. If it's around 3" and showing some organs I'll sex the hell out of it with my trusty usb scope.![]()
That's what I'm going to try when Peter decides to come out of his little hole. I haven't seen any movement in about a day and a half so it might be a minute lol.You can always get Peter into a crystal clear catch cup with a secure lid. Place it on its side and use a camera pointed straight up with flash as well as without to catch the shot.
I'll have to look into those. Thanks for the recommendation! When you use a catch cup, instead of using cardboard or even the lid, consider a clear welding outer lense which you can get at Sears, Home Depot or any hardware store.
You have to peel the plastic wrap off of it first. It's totally crystal clear, puncture resistant and will give you a great underside view of any tarantula.

The green is just the protective coating. Peel it off on both sides. It's clear like acrylic or a CD case but much much harder and almost impossible to cut.
