I have a spare exo terra 18x18x24 I'm considering putting a pare of emperors in there. Wondering if I throw in some nice wooden structure of the scorps would enjoy climbing around on it and use up the height. Thoughts?
I can see a chunk of cricket inside the curly hair sling's little tunnel. If I remove it I think I'll destroy the tunnel. Is it ok to just leave it in there for the curly to deal with?
Just recently added a 1.5 inch L. Klugi, and a 0.5 inch B. Albopilosum to my collection.
I have moderate experience keeping adult tarantulas but have never raised babies. The Klugi is a maniac but I have had trouble getting the curly hair to eat. I decided to try prekilled pinheads for it...
Totally. She terrifies me haha. I find her so unpredictable still. My wife teases me because I won't hold her. No way I'm picking up this monster until I get to know her body language more.
Does anyone know how many crickets I should feed her? She's had 7 crickets in 24 hours and looks like...
I just cleaned out her water dish because she used it as a toilet. When I went to put it back in she was out of her den to investigate immediately. She had her front legs and palps all over the dish as i was sliding it in place. So curious and interactive :D
Last night she ate 5 silk worms. She had a wad in her fangs about the size of a ping pong ball and this morning I can't find any left overs anywhere. Needless to say she loved them. Definitely putting them into the rotation.
