@RobnBig Your the first person to have that attitude! *High Fives* Everyone is calling me crazy, lol. But I love her! Been wanting one for so long. I'm re-housing her today into her permanent enclosure, I'll take pics. Shes wicked too. Shes already a voracious eater, and aggressive.
I have had ALOT of spiders...first one I have ever had that gets aggressive before running away, every single other spider I've had, even my huge garden spider, runs first. Not her. She starts up with those long front legs like a boxer. Its impressive. I have a very healthy respect for her. Lol.
@RobnBig They are arboreal, they make really messy looking hectic webs, but their silk is very strong, I just re-housed her and had to cut silk strands with scissors. She is eating pinhead roaches and small crickets. They are western USA, and I've noticed she likes fresh air more than humidity. I just housed her in a special made spider enclosure from Jamie's Tarantulas. So far shes devoured a few small crickets. And shes really not any harder to care for than any other spider I've had. Have to be more cautious, but it's really not the scary, killer monster most people make them to be. I love her!

This friendly little devil is the heptothilidi,
unfortunately harmless. Next to him, the nasty licosa
raptoria, his tiny fangs cause creeping ulcerations of
the skin (laugh). And here, my prize, the Black
Widow. Isn't she lovely?...And so deadly. Her kiss is
fifteen times as poisonous as that of the rattlesnake.
You see her venom is highly neurotoxic, which is to say
that it attacks the central nervous system causing
intense pain, profuse sweating, difficulty in
breathing, loss of consciousness, violent convulsions
and, finally...Death. You know what I think I love the
most about her is her inborn need to dominate,
possess. In fact, immediately after the consummation
of her marriage to the smaller and weaker male of the
species she kills and eats him...(laugh) oh, she is
delicious...And I hope he was! Such power and dignity
...unhampered by sentiment. If I may put forward a
slice of personal philosophy, I feel that man has ruled
this world as a stumbling dimented child-king long
enough! And as his empire crumbles, my precious Black
Widow shall rise as his most fitting successor!"
