G. Pulchripes, ready to pop.

She'll be hungry after this molt, she hasn't eaten for a month. I've been watching the past few days, as she's spun webbing all over the enclosure. She's armed the place with some urticating hairs. There is one dubia, buried SOMEWHERE! Infuriating things! I'll be watching!
Since my feeder guy, quit offering crickets, I've had to try feeding Dubia Roaches to her. They sure aren't the "life" of anyone's party!!! She's gotten OK with tong feeding, I just have to try and get the larger roaches, because if she feels the tongs first she'll quickly recoil. I've had a G. Rosea dig up and eat a couple darkling beetles before, but don't trust them for any long term feeding. I wish the guy I buy from, bred some fast moving German or American ****roaches. I imagine it would be fun trying to contain them all!

@Adraps11 I have the same problem with Dubias too. They'll do the trick but I've had em get away and remain in the enclosure for some time. American and German ****roaches would be near impossible to contain. Even lateralis are hard to keep from escaping and multiplying. Dubias are non evasive and long lived so a good choice for the hobby. But luckily for me I can get a case of 1000 crickets for $10 so can't beat that :D good luck with the molt though, she's a nice fat pretty T.

She's out of her old skin now! She's on her side moving her legs about. Man! I can already tell she's much bigger. The huge new Carapace tells the story! It's always an awesome thing when they molt. This is the first time one of my tarantulas has molted when I was awake to see it! Time to get working on a new enclosure!
