It will be fine. The burrow will be held together with webbing & it is exactly what they do in the wild. And yes, when it is hungry, it will head up. It may even be heading up when the room is dark & quiet, hungry, or not.
At least you’ll be able to monitor him easy! It’s cool it made the tunnel right there for you to see. Feeding should be easy too, as all you’d have to do is leave a pre-killed cricket at the entrance of the tunnel.
