Hey everyone! I’m a proud owner of 6 Tarantula’s with a further 3 more arriving on Saturday. I’m a little OCD with numbers being even, so that being said I need 1 more T to get me to an even steven ‘10’ so here’s what I got now:

Alvicularia Purpurea - Purple Pinktoe
Brachypelma Albopilosum - Curly Hair
Brachypelma Emilia - Redleg
Caribena Versicolour - Martinique Pinktoe Grammostola Pulchra - Brazilian Black (very proud of this confirmed AF)
Grammostola Rosea - Chile Rose

Here’s what’s arriving Saturday:

Acanthoscurria Geniculata - Brazilian White Knee
Lasiodora Parahybana - Salmon Pink Birdeater
Nhandu Chromatus - Brazilian Red and White

So judging from my collection already I’d like to see your opinions/suggestions on my ‘last’ T I should add to me collection! And I say ‘last’ because these beautiful creatures are highly addictive!
Thanks for any help, all is appreciated!!

My vote is C cyaneopubescens. One of the favorites in my collection. They are more skiddish than the others on your list, but if you can handle Avic/caribena speed then you’d be fine with a gbb.

Its really gonna mess with you if you get your shipment in and there is an unannounced freebie :)

You know I have been eyeing those up! I love Webber’s and I hear they’re quite prolific for that?

It will for sure mess with me but then I guess I’d be ‘forced’ to purchase another right? Lol

I was thinking Grammostola pulchripes but I've just read someone said gbb and now I'm questioning why I don't have one .

I do love the D. Diamentinensis! I find myself searching for Tarantulas and being drawn to the Togo Starburst... eek!

When I started looking for my 1st T I was torn between the H. maculata and the OBT, the OBT won but I've since got the H. maculata too

You can probably handle a Pamphobeteus species. I have P sp machala & it's one awesome spider. There are many many species in that genus to choose from.

They are a moist spider. Make sure you have a large water dish and frog moss or some other type of moss. Frog moss looks smoother and cleaner then some other kinds.

Keep one side of the enclosure moist and the other dry. Supply a hide. These guys are very agile and can move when they want to do so.

They are pouncy like Lasiodora species or Acanoscurria species are.

How about Harpacitra pulchripes? Amazing colors.
Look up Bumba cobocla. One of my favorites.
If you like the arboreals, take a look at Psalmopoeus irminia. Love mine.
Want something different? Orphnaecus phillippinus.
Pterinopelma sazimai is another gorgeous one.

You already have most of my other favorites.

I second the motion for H pulchripes, great spiders especially since the males and females are equally gorgeous. My male did mature out a week ago. He was 1" when I got him in January.

I sent him out to a breeder and will get 2 it 3 slings back if the pairing succeeds. As part of the deal, I'm also getting 2 others that I'm not mentioning until they are safely rehoused.

M balfouri is also a wonderful OW to get. They are also communal and may even do better with a friend or two, NOT the case with most other tarantulas!!

These are very fast moving but neither is a mean or psychotic spider. Just make sure they go to the burrows or under the hide before opening the enclosure.

I'd recommend a B. Smithi, still my favorite. Good eaters that don't know the meaning of manners, mine strikes at any and everything. Newest picture I could find, baby picture though confirmed AF now, ill take a new picture in the morning thought I had one.
