Hello, this is an issue I've had for a while. I have everything I need in my T's enclosures, but they just look boring. What do you put in your enclosures to make them look more full and visually interesting? Both of my Ts are terrestrial, but I'm probably getting an arboreal in the future so tips for both would be appreciated! Thank you :)

Hi and welcome to the forum. Maybe adding natural looking stuff like cork bark .You could add moss and plants but tends not to do well if you don t have the right lighting.

I have all sorts in my enclosures. Almost all my enclosure have some plastic plants, or at least some artificial leaves in them. I also use cork bark. Garlic jars make nice hides, as do small terracotta flower pots cut in half. Cut edges need sanding smooth. I have a couple of artificial skulls in enclosures & a few enclosures have those brightly coloured plants you use in goldfish tanks in them. For colour.

One tall enclosure enclosure has an action man in it & some retailers sell some very attractive large seed pods. I have a female Vitalius chromatus who loves her seed pod hide. I have some nice looking branches I use in arboreal enclosures for height & natural webbing points.

I have some coloured table tennis balls, I brought to add something moveable into my enclosures & things like small plastic toys can add interest.

Only thing I would add is that whatever you put in with your spood and depending on species it will probably disappear. Lol. Massive cork bark hides submerged under substrate, live plants devastated, and if not submerged so webbed over you can't tell what you put in there to start with! Ahhh I love keeping Tarantulas!!!

Some of my T's leave the artificial plants alone and the enclosures look very pretty, whilst others rip the plants up and web over or bury them! You can't win em all.

I would add that I will no longer put live plants in with any terrestrial species and only arboreal and only confirmed females! Reason for only females is I had a MM Psalmopeous Pulcher that literally trampled to death his Lucky bamboo and that stuff usually tough as nails! Much less his Neon Pathos!! I have no spoods in with my Zoomeds and Exos but have several started to get the plants a good head start! They will need it! I would recommend this if you want a bioactive with the plants because in all likelihood they will be stressed to the max! Plus, during the warmer months I will take them outside so the plants can get good sunlight! Just my little take on how I am now approaching my bioactive builds from here out!
