Do I need a hole saw to install circular vents on an AMAC?
Same here works perfectly. I also use painters tape where im drilling. Keeps it from cracking and scratching.I use regular drill bits on amac boxes. Don't push too hard or you'll crack the plastic.
For larger holes, a step drill works best

Ok yes I have seen them. I didn't know the name. Looks better than have several hole saw sizes. Thx
Dang that’s actually brilliant! Ive been using tape and a speed square!I go one step further.
I make "templates" in Adobe illustrator, print them out and spray glue them to the panels of the amac boxes.
These act like the tape and gives me targets for each hole so they are perfectly placed and spaced. I'm anal like that.
It's also very time consuming, so I've gravitated away from hard plastic amac boxes to softer plastics that I can stab with soldering irons. I still make and use the templates cause anal.
