Hi guys, my N. Chromatus made his burrow quite unique. He made like a spiral type burrow, where I can see the bottom of his burrow through the plastic contrainer, but not from the top down. He made like a spiral type burrow. He is maybe 2.5 to 3cm.

I cut up a mealworm and gave him half and another T half. He ate it, but he put the remainders right at the bottom of his enclosure. Where I can only reach with a tongs if I majorly annoy him, and definitely will wreck his burrow.

It's like 35% of the worm still there. And he is now really fat. Like I probably won't feed him for 2 or more weeks now. I guess I didn't realize how much food a worm actually is.
Can I just leave it and monitor for mold or ?

I had the same thing happen in one of the albos burrows and I just left it, because getting it would have destroyed the burrow and disturbed the spider. It didn't go mouldy. It dried up and went black and crispy(!) I had to eventually rehouse it, not because of the mealworm but because it totally outgrew the enclosure.

(Disclaimer Obviously, you should always remove remains if you can get to them and if you notice mould then you need to deal with it by scooping it out or rehousing if it's causing an issue.)
