Ive been searching like a mad man for a female versicolor for my wife as a xmas prezzie and the only ones i can find are the other side of the country and the sellers wont post. Believe it or not she has actually come around to the idea of all the Ts i have and now wants her own. I know, im shocked aswel. She has recently got an oligoxystre diamantinensis and juvi female phamphobetus sp macalla. Anyway she has her heart set on a confirmed female versicolor, preferably sub or adult, but it doesnt really matter as long as its female. If anyone has one that they would let me have i will either buy or willing to do a trade for something of equal value that i have in stock?

Can anyone help out a man in need lol?

See if she'd go for a sling , she'd get to watch the the colors come in and have the fun of finding out if it's a boy or girl.

We have slings, shes impatient though and said she wants one with adult colors now lol
It always strikes me as strange, the difference between the US and Europe hobby...You have several spiders we consider rare here, yet a juvie female versicolor is easy to find in the states.
Try a GBB or O diamentesis, if you cant find the versi...both are a better choice anyway:p

The Spidershop have Sub-adult Versis at the moment. If you can/want to buy 2. Chances are one/ or both are female lol.

Or as an alternative, they also have AF A. Purpurea?

Personally speaking, I've had my Versi from grown on sling and I really enjoyed all colour phases she went through. It didn't take that long for her to reach adult colours, neither. Good things come to those who wait lol.

Excellent! Exciting, isnt it? My hands shake when I breed them :) I decided, when my female porteri ate my male, I'll take a bite before my males do. Breeding my Lp was exciting and scary. Perhaps that's why my hands shake, lol.

Lol the adrenalin rush is immense. I worry for my males, especially if the females are 2-3 times bigger than then lol. Luckily ive not had one eat a male yet and the only near miss ive had was my female gbb charged the male when he touched her but he bolted lol

Turns out my female had decided to go into premolt so that would explain it but they are notorious man eaters lol. Im picking up a p.machalla pair next week so im going to attempt to breed them too :)
