I'm finally getting an Acanthoscurria geniculata, a female of 1.25" dls and also expecting 2 new glass terrariums for my LPs Mole and Pip and 1 specially designed for my Orphnaecus sp Blue Panay, Taal. Taal webs so much that a front opening container would be impossible so Jakub at http://spidershop.pl/product-category/terrariums/?lang=en
has made me an 8" cube with a top opening. I can't wait to get Mole and Pip into glass terrariums so that I can see them clearly and be able to get some better pictures of them (you'll be sick of seeing them).

They are due tomorrow night, or early hours of Sunday morning :T::T::T:

Oh goody. I love my Genic, she's a real chilled out girl, lets me do tank maintenance without budging. Always out and eats like a horse.
Mine is the total opposite, wants a fist fight with me every time i open the enclosure, rears up, kicks hairs etc lol. But the appetite matches yours, never turns down a meal. My genic rivals my stirmis for eating [emoji6]

Mine is kinda in between yours and @Fuzzball79 He's always out usually hanging around the water dish. Almost always on top of the water dish when it's time to do water. Like he knows and is daring us ;) I've only seen 1 threat pose and that was when we changed substrate a month or so back. He did NOT want to go in the catch cup peacefully. When you have to remove the water dish for cleaning he'll hang on to it for dear life. I played tug of war with him once, surprised me how strong he is and he's only maybe 4" tops now, about half size he will be ;) Be fun to see how playing tug of war with his water dish will be then lol.

It looks as though it's pot luck as to what the temperament is going to be, getting even more excited now wondering what she's going to be like .

I bought my first genic, a 1.25-1.5" sling, about a month ago. I am in LOVE!!!! It is constantly rearranging it's substrate, literally carrying it's water dish around like a barbell, and absolutely mauls its prey. It's one of the coolest slings I've ever seen. I don't know if this weird behavior is normal but I love it.
Congrats. If ur like me, you'll be constantly watching the lil one

@SpiderDad61 In that case I'll make sure it's near my desk so I can watch it.:T:
Tomorrow is going to be such a long day, I just hope they get here before 4am.
Exactly lol. I'm excited for ya. I'd have bought some genics long ago had I known they were so cool. I don't Kno what price they go for normally, but I have a local pet shop(hi quality) that has genic slings all day for $15.
For those personalities, it's a bargain

So happy for you. :D
My gal is hands down my absolute favorite. I know I shouldn't play favorites but I adore this T. She's always hungry. Spreads out like she's showing off, nothing about her I don't like. (Well let me retract that; Maybe her bare bottom from kicking hairs when she was shipped)

That sounds about right for price. I think I paid about $20 for my son's 1.5" genic 9 months ago or so. You don't have to worry about food size with them either. At that size he was power tackling roaches as big as his body.

I fed her last night and when I checked on her later she was happily munching away but I got a butt in the air as if to say "keep off it's mine"
