Just wanted to thank you all for your help as I first uploaded a thread to this forum, about my Auratum and her hurt leg, have added more soil in her enclusure and feed it a little bit more and even that Brachypelmas usually grow slow, she is in premolt now, thanks to her bold spot it was easy to spott. I´m now just hoping for the best when she is finally moulting, still a little concerned that her leg gets stuck in her old shell or that the wound breaks open when she is buildung up pressure but there is nothing I can do for her at this stage just hoping for the best.

Don´t worry about the white stuff on her abdomen, it´s dryed on from her leg when she was scratching herself and she really hasn´t liked it to get a wet Q-tip there to clean it up =P

If the injury is restricted to one leg, that's usually not a problem. Some tarantulas may drop a leg that is already damaged. They have break away sections that seal up after it's removed when the tarantula does that themselves.

None of mine has ever been injured or been purchased injured. The leg will grow back when it molts.

Misting your enclosure increases humidity. It helps the tarantula molt out of its exoskeleton (possibly softening it to make it easier). I usually mist the substrate very well and the sides of the enclosure. For better results, I dampen a paper towel or cloth and place it on top of the terrarium to hold the moisture in (evaporation still occurs but at a slower rate) if you have a terrarium with a screen top that has a lot of air flow and dries the substrate quicker. These are just tips for you. Of course you may do as you please but thought I'd offer a different perspective. Good luck and I hope she comes out healthy and strong! :)

Well that was a lot faster than the internet told me^^ She was just in premolt for 15 day´s jesterday evening I saw her laying down her mat, at the morning she was laying down on her back for a couple off ours and she was out before I noticed it in under 30 min or so oO Her leg is now fine only has to flip herself over at this point. cannt wait to see her without that bold spott =)

Sry for the bad picture, but the right back leg is fine again =)

Guess its a male, from what Youtube told me. But he is doing great, a bit sloppy but looking awesome. Think my Brachypelma Vagans is in premolt as well, havent feed her for a while now, but her butt is getting bigger and bigger almost 3 times her carapax size at the moment, but cannt really tell because she does not have a bold spott between her hairs it looks dark but it could just be that way I dont know oO I would like to post a picture off her but she is really shy as soon as I touch the lid she´s gone, and cannt take a picture throug the glass because off the reflection and the focus is going wild =/
