While I know this species has been in the hobby for a bit as a regional ornithoctoninae sp. When I saw the news story about it a few years ago that a new species of bamboo dwelling tarantula had been discovered, I fell in love with it's looks, esp the gold bands on its legs.
I was at my LPS looking at cork bark for a my p. Irmina's future enclosure when I saw they had this species available as a 3" juvie, they also had a few killer looking cork tubes, so I had a weekend project on my hands!
One of the things I love about this hobby is researching and looking at Ts in their natural habitat, what structures they build or inhabit and trying to recreate it as close as possible for my Ts.
Here is where I'm at so far
