I‘m aware that some don’t like the mesh lid, and I’m working towards a long term solution, but this is her setup.

If it were my enclosure, I'd add more substrate and replace that mesh lid ASAP. Adding substrate will help prevent fatal falls. The mesh lid will allow the substrate to dry out very quickly, and you don't want that for this species. If the tarantula climbs to the mesh lid, there is a possibility she could get stuck up there.

Also, it's not about "not liking" the mesh lid. It's about doing your best to keep the tarantula safe and healthy.

I understand, and appreciate the input. The substrate is 6 inches or more in 75% of the enclosure now.
