I have a male t apop , about 6 inch dls, 3.5 yrs old. last molted feb of this year. he is not hooked out . he abdomen is pretty bald but im thinking its from hair kicking not a sign of premolt as it's not the least bit shiny. there has been no change in his environment in a very long time and he last ate about a month ago.

about 3 weeks this guy started space truckin' all around his tank and has been pretty much at it ever since. I have seen this behavior in hooked males before but never seen a t this consistantly roaming around its tank.

any ideas ?

thanks

Some T's are more active that others. My wifes 7 legged P smithi was doing the wall of death backwards a few days ago & my C lividus which has been in a burrow for months suddenly decided to become a very active terrestrial a few weeks ago. As for our V chromatus, that is positively manic.

totally agree. some of mine sometimes for no apparent reason will start doing laps and pacing (for lack of a better word.) usu they go back to normal pretty quick, but this guy has been space truckin for a couple weeks.
