Well my Pseudhapalopus sp. blue has only grown to 3/8 now. I knew they are slow growing but sheesh this is ridiculous. I'll be dead by the time it ever reaches even 3 inches.

So my question is are black Soldier fly larvae good feeders for these little slings? I can't do cricket legs anymore. Crickets smell just awful will be a long time before I use crickets again.

Also anyone ever use silkworms, for T's 2 I chest and up and are they good?

Have you tried bean beetles or fruit flies? They help me a lot with my slings. :)

I've tried silkworms. Very nutritious, high in protein and calcium, low in fat, my 3 little 1 inch T's loved them.

The problem I had with them is that they grow quite fast, and here in Australia, I can't find anywhere that sells any less than 10 at a time, and rather expensive with shipping cost because normal pet stores don't stock them.

I bought the smallest I could get at about 3/4 inch, they are pretty fat so 1 silkworm per feed per T is plenty, but in a week they are already reaching ~1.5 inch long, 2 weeks and their 2 inches and rather fat, too big for your 1 inch T's that now shy away from the larger prey, so end up throwing half of the silkworms away.

Refrigeration kills them, they need feeding every day on mulberry leaves or silkworm powdered food, you have to clean their enclosure every day because they pee and poo continuously and are susceptible to disease if not looked after.

After that experience I decided to wait till my T's have grown considerably before buying any more silkworms.
I highly recommend them for their nutritional value, but be prepared to look after the silkworm more than you do your T or waste your money if you don't have the mouths to feed.

Silk worms are much like wax worms and most other and will last a long time if you refrigerate them.
