Pre molt question

I have a 3" B. Hamorii who last night closed up the entrance to her hide, would this be a sign of a pre molt? Over the last two months she has been pretty much out in the open. She ate a good meal yesterday then closed herself in last night, do I just let her go until she comes out? I have heard some stories about molts going bad so I wanted to keep an eye on her but that is kind of hard to do now.

Just let her be :) It's completely normal for them to barricade themselves into the burrow - Sometimed this is a sign of pre moult, sometimes they just want to hide for the reason X.
My A. genic closed herself in her burrow on Monday and as she is my first T, I was relatively stressed out :D Everything went well, she moulted yesterday.

@Arachnoclown has a hamorii who has been burrowed for over 100 days now.

@Nunua I peaked at her...she has molted but is still in her burrow. My A. Seemanni is a different story...shes just a fasting freak in her burrow. 150 days for the Hammori and around 130 days for the Seemanni in their burrows. (May be a day or 2 off on the numbers...im not at home). @Mr. P This is why people buy more Tarantulas....:D:T:

Usually whether terrestrial or arboreal, with mine when they barricade themselves in like that, they're gonna molt.

It's best to just leave them alone. Keep the water dish full and maybe overflow it just a little bit to up the humidity slightly higher, nothing crazy.

The spider will emerge on its own when it's ready.

I'm keeping australian tarantula slings , a couple block their burrows every day but they unblock them when they feel crickets moving around . Not sure if it's relevant.

All my Gbbs molt out in the open...massive webbers and huge appetites. A good first time spider as well. The color transformation is great to watch as they grow. Slings are also fairly cheap....you wouldn't go wrong buying two. :D

Finally, after two months both of my T's have come back out this morning and they are quite a bit bigger now. They have obviously molted while they have been hidden so since I don't know when they actually molted I will wait a week and see if they will start eating.
This is my first molt and one single molt sure does make quite a size difference.

Hope you dont mind me asking on here asni didnt want to start a fresh thread. My T has decided to hide all day in her hide. Normally ahe is out and about mooching around. She has been very quiet today she ate 2 days ago.
Do you think its pre molt? She looks ok.. asking as i am worried due to my other T strangely dieing the other day. I found it curled up in the dreaded death curl near its water dish.

Thanks for any

Could be. All you can do is wait.
As for the one that passed, I'm sorry for your loss.
