Poor villosella lost a leg

I have a communal of 3 villosella, 1"+ in length each. I was feeding em crickets. One of the Ts got spooked when a cricket touched it, and ran on the edge of the enclosure while I was putting the lid on. I felt sooo bad when I seen the little leg fall onto the counter. The poor T fell into the enclosure and crawled up safety. Hopefully it'll survive and the leg will grow back. It came off right at the carapace so I don't Kno.

I have so nearly done the same thing, they can be so quick so don't blame yourself. I'm sure the T will be fine and have all 8 legs again after a couple of moults.

Checked on it this morning. It's alive n moving around. Upon inspection, it's missing legs 2 and 4 on the right side. I must not have realized it but 2 legs got caught. Poor T

That's good news. There's no doubt they manage fine even missing 2 legs, my A. versi moulted in transit and lost 2 legs but it has done really well and you'd never know now.

Yup, but they're tough.

My genic lost a leg in a molt, right at the carapace also. 2 molts later he was good as new. I don't think that missing leg slowed him down at all
